The world's swift ending

Image
Heavenly words, a shadowed doom foretold, The earthly bonds, like brittle glass, shall break. Daughters, with scorn, their mothers' age enfold, And servile tasks their weary spirits will take. Competition's sting, a venomous, sharp dart, Shall pierce the heart therein gentle graces lay. Luck's fickle smile, a hollow, barren art, While reverence and honor shall fade away. The nation's wealth, by grasping hands defiled, A plundered prize for those in power's sway. Greed's hungry maw, whereupon truth is exiled, And envy does steal the glare and light of day. Oh, these fashions reign, a swift and bitter tide, And thus, the world's swift ending does abide. ©Poet Affaq  #Poeyry #PoetAffaq #Sonbets #ForeverSonnets #MysticalPoetry

Betrayal Of Stewardship ,

Image
Trust we held, like fragile glass, is shattered, Your stewardship, just a vestige of its might, From your house oversight is scattered, No longer shines with truth's celestial light. Your arbiters bend, to your designs they lean, And their self-rule, as like a phantom, flown, Damn, justice is yearned, but only power is seen, The humble plea unheard, the minority's groan. Your censors clamp, on tongue and pen they fall, A tragic theft of freedom's precious breath, Our very thoughts, imprisoned in your thrall, Our days made heavy, burdened unto death. To distant lands, you do your falsehoods weave, Your dark intrigues, the world can't quite perceive. Poet Affaq #Sonnets #ForeverSonnets  #PoetAffaq #PoetryBlog

The Rustic Echoes

Image
A dream of candles, gold against the night, And breezes did whisper tales of river's flow, When lavender bloomed in May's fluffy, gentle light, A rustic rhythm, sweet and downy  and low. The drummers' beat, a distant, muffled sound, And birds did fly, though whither, none could say, While the hills did echo with a magic bound, And strange beasts howled, then faded far away. No harbour's rush, nor rain's insistent plea, But visions held, a passing, phantom show, Of lands unseen, and wonders still  to be, That moments danced, then softly did let go. And as the moon, a silent watcher, rose, The dream did break, and mellow slumber close. ©Poet Affaq  #Sonnets #ForeverSonnets #PoetAffaq

Secretive depths

Image
I do seek not fortune's whispers, false and vain, Cause the mortal eyes can't  pierce thine  Secretive depths, only your truths will remain, You alone weave the threads of destiny's fine line. Shimmering stars can't future's path impart, Nor palms reveal what hidden years may hold Not earthly craft can touch the sacred art, Where Heaven's plan, in grace, is then unrolled. What can man's feeble wisdom comprehend? The course decreed, by His eternal face? To His heavenly will, let my soul attend, And seek in faith, a calm and steadfast place. For you alone, the future's mysteries keeps, And with your joy, the humble spirit leaps. ©Poet Affaq  #Sonnets  #ForeverSonnets

Bang bang, like the thunder, fiercely ring,

Image
Bang bang, like the thunder, fiercely ring, At tender buds that drink light, no mercy shown. Through fields of gold, a ruined peasant's sting, And streets where second hand wares are known. Before the moon, your harsh descent is made, Where healing springs and hope's resurgence lie. Neither infant's peace, nor kind soul's are swayed, As woes and wounds beneath your fury sigh. Over graves you strike where sacred light should be, And decimate the peace that should remain. No care you give, what eyes or beasts may see, But all must feel your heavy, harsh pain. So bang, bang, your hunger knows no end, And all who walk, your bitter load must bend. ©Poet Affaq  #Sonnets #ForeverSinnets

Frosted Joy

Image
Listen friend, these globules, lily-white they be, Woven pathways, a couch of powder deep, Lark's sweet note was hushed, no flight to see, But penguins feast upon icy waters creep. Heavens' hand, on earth's rough fields did shine, And rains did fall, to wash the world as dew. A longing stirred, with these white flakes of wine.  Sylphs, in the ice queen's robes, their grace imbue. This winter's chill, a painted, frosted scene, Our eyes, with these joyful wonders, lay, A fresh-born zeal, a constant, sharp, and keen, Did rise within, thru, the decline of snowy day. Until the Owl's watch, the witches danced and sighed, Their joy did leap, then faded, as time's tide. ©Poet Affaq  #Sonnets #ForeverSonnets
