And silence rulled the ruins of our heart
Beloved, your amore have caused such tart pains, Still silent we suffered, sorrows ruthless strife. Our bosom was sacked, broken by the chains, But the tears unshed betrayed our muffled life. Your love’s souvenir, a fiction thou didn't weave, Was treasured still, though sorrow claimed our lot. The world’s merciless woes we silently receive, And in our breasts a fire that smoked not. Our burning bosom consumed by yearning’s flame, No vestige of what they were didn't now remain. Tears swallowed whole, we bore our barren shame, While long lay closed, its petals bound in pain. Two bosom’s, though met, were destined yet to part, And the silence ruled the ruins of our heart Poet Affaq #poetry #mystical #sonnet #fireversonnets
