A call to awake
In booths, you've spent your years, it seems, But what fruits have these ballots truly brought? O, bliss! cost of living reached to its extremes Has change shaped your aspirations or not? And I recall, as a child, when I saw you then, Patiently waiting all day, hopeful, in that den, For secure shelter, work, and aid in your dire need. And waiting with a yearning with spirit to win. In freedom's name, your plight remains unknown, As promises dissolve in mists of regrets and fears. Pity, no job to feed, no house to call your own, Your sea of suffering, fall silent on deaf ears. Awake, dear voter, seize your power's might, For in your hands lies destiny's sincere light. , ©Affaq
