A Truth we can't Bury And this flaming life, tenderly now inclined, Moan with me; this is my heart's muse, a new lay, An ardent ode, with nascent years entwined, To wake old efflorescence, once in sway. Perchance, my form shall yet adorn your sight, Your face, a rose, within my palms shall rest; Though distant, restless moans fill the long night, Where I, in solemn hours, found no true zest. In ghastly ride, the solemn Sun descends In purple seas, where Moon in stillness lies; Through heaven's vast, its lonely journey wends, A sheer truth we cannot bury, nor deny.
