Love is above everything

Image

why see the world thru eyes of mere desire?

Image
High and low, the cancer of love's frail bond, Whilst you do count your red carpets, o fine, We lay on earth’s bare breast, on yonder frond, Whilst you do count your cars, we wait in line. Why see the world thru eyes of mere desire? Grand castles and proud towers all shall fall, Ah, virtues shall ascend through death’s cold fire. Behold, my faith sees not the high nor low at all. From such divisions strife and sorrow spring: Fair women, driven mad, in the rivers leap, Or choose the flames, or hang by sorrow’s string. Heaven sends the guide, our hearts to keep. In mercy’s grace, let the envy’s seeds be torn, That love and peace may in each soul be born. ------Poet Affaq

Sonnet

When first time your image in my heart I drew, . . . 'Twas with new hopes our paths would intertwine, . . . In dreams, where'er your steps may go I knew, . . . My heart would follow, bound by the divine. . . . Love, as your eyelids lift, my soul lies in your gaze, . . . Your light shall guide me on my journey's way, . . . With candles lit, to brighten nights and days, . . . My shadow's there, by you it shall ever stay. . . . Since that sweet moment you took your place, . . . Within my bosom's cherished, sacred space, . . . It seems the universe is in our trace, . . . Ah, a festival of joy within, upon face. . . . Thanks to that day when love did first impart, . . . Your image settled ever in my heart. . . . ---- Affaq

Sometimes you wear a smile on your cheek

Image
Sometimes you wear a smile on your cheek, Like the marigolds that shine in early morn, But other times, your brow is sorrow’s peak, No-good, a caged bird weeping, feeling all forlorn. At times you toil like winds that clouds do steer, Gathering fruitful labor from the high-sky, And often you tire, like clouds that disappear, In slumber 'mid the heavens, drifting by. I praise you still, and no blame to you, dearest, For all these traits are part of nature’s way. To alter or not, in most of cases, is inherent, As you know, shaping fate is not an easy play. Unless it bears a blessing from above, Ordained before our birth, by heaven’s love. ----Affaq

For progress thrives where liberty is crowned.

Image
On one side, you stand at peaks of modern might, Where artifice and thought in robots blend, In every field of life, their hands take flight, Fast nets and webs our lives they swiftly mend. Yet olden laws, like ancient chains, still bind, A hurdle in this path where the futures lie. These laws, so rigid, halt the march of mind, They need be changed, or else this age shall die. Let your institutions flex, adapt, and grow, For a balance in this era must be found. Those jungle laws, with swiftness, must let go, For progress thrives where liberty is crowned. In this new age where man and machine merge, Our laws must change to match the coming surge. --- Poet Affaq

O, restless heart, stir gently, but slow

Image
O, restless heart, stir gently, but slow, Clarinets play for one who draws near. In cast shadows, their presence glows, In dream's backyard, love sings ah, clear. Kisses form when the dreams appear In gardens of sleep, where the love sings. A melody of solemn promise reappear For whom the heart awoke, the dawn brings Her visage with hues of vernal grace O restless heart, stir gently, but slow— Someone comes to fill your empty space, And for years long, you dwelt apart O restless heart, stir gently, but slow, Clarinets play for one who draws so close. In the divine path i try walk

Image
Ah, may you hold my hand in your gentle grasp, Not for mere days or months, but for life's long span, Living together without complaints, I grasp Is no easy feat, requiring compassion's hand. To face life's disdains, ahh, there came an era When I stood alone, in youth's vibrant prime, Adorned with dance, romance, and guitar's chimera. May your hand, so tender-sweet, stay in mine. Ensure peace at my park villa, the Barkly east, I plead, ponder this verse with care in thought. Though tardy it arrives, forgive me, at least, For time's grim grasp, forgiveness besought. In the divine path I try walk, with liberal minds aligned, Peace's eternal flame, a beacon we unfurl, Love and harmony's in every thought refined  Guiding all humanity, in this earthly swirl.

Sometimes in the moroseness of love, I wandered quiet far and regrets I sang. Sometimes I slept on shore of springs,   And doom myself for your love's and desire. Sometimes on the heroic brooks I hung upon,   To meet my fond and the passion. Sometimes on my hut cottage, I laid my head, And counted the stars page by page. Though you vanish away with your redness,    Beyond the hurdles my welfare, I manage. Nevertheless! your voice stayed in my hermitage. ©Affaq Naibe

The time will recall

Image
The time will recall when we shall be no more. And the zephyr would set its melodic tunes at heaven's gate  When we shall be no more, thou hast given us  Such sorrows, there is no way to be less, no way to be less. With the smash of stars, nothing would cause  Disorder to the sky, no harm will come to pass. When we shall be no more, the nights will be burning. With the candlelights and the stars be shinning In the backyard of the moon, the time will recall,  When we shall be no more, birds will be singing. In the sweet rains, and flowers be smiling in joyful Plains, the time will recall when we shall be no more. ©Poet Affaq
