Sometimes you wear a smile on your cheek

Sometimes you wear a smile on your cheek,

Like the marigolds that shine in early morn,

But other times, your brow is sorrow’s peak,

No-good, a caged bird weeping, feeling all forlorn.

At times you toil like winds that clouds do steer,

Gathering fruitful labor from the high-sky,

And often you tire, like clouds that disappear,

In slumber 'mid the heavens, drifting by.

I praise you still, and no blame to you, dearest,

For all these traits are part of nature’s way.

To alter or not, in most of cases, is inherent,

As you know, shaping fate is not an easy play.

Unless it bears a blessing from above,

Ordained before our birth, by heaven’s love.
