What perturbs your once serene state That now keeps you restless and discontent?  I have followed the stream to the ocean deep, I have scaled in vain the rocky mountain peak. I have soared the vast awesome starry skies   I have summoned all the musical birdies To enthrall you with their dulcet melodies. I have listened to whispers of the gentle breeze. What wise words would the sages say That mundane miseries and fears allay? What wondrous  words must the poet speak To lift you up and make a delightful leap?  Oh... Had I known that a heart needs another heart,  No  needless queries would have been asked, No  journeys would have been  made so very far; For your other half will find you where you are. High and low, the cancer of love's frail bond, Whilst you do count your red carpets, o fine, We lay on earth’s bare breast, on yonder frond, Whilst you do count your cars, we wait in line. Why see the world thru eyes of mere desire? Grand castles and proud towers all shall fall, Ah, virtues shall ascend through death’s cold fire. Behold, my faith sees not the high nor low at all. From such divisions strife and sorrow spring: Fair women, driven mad, in the rivers leap, Or choose the flames, or hang by sorrow’s string. Heaven sends the guide, our hearts to keep. In mercy’s grace, let the envy’s seeds be torn, That love and peace may in each soul be born. ------Poet Affaq 

Dearie, your sister's wedding has won my heart, In modest grace, with high morals imbued. Friends, neighbors, kin, each played a part, As guests and helpers served, their love renewed. No lavish pomp, nor gaudy dance was seen, No gilded trimmings, nor a wasteful excess. In purest form, the day's true love did glean, A simple charm that God himself did bless. No music's din, still the harmony prevailed, The cheer of guests, like hymns, filled every ear. With humble fare, prepared and served unveiled, Bright smiles adorned each face, sincere and clear. To bride and groom, our heartfelt blessings flow, In love's bosom their joy shall ever grow. Poet Affaq 

In a quiet pastureland, 'neath a mountain tall, Lived a warrior named Jockey, beloved by all. With a smile that lit up his weathered face, In his prime of youth, proud he was of his race. Jockey was rough with wit, but sturdy with toil, Mastered horse racing; his skill would not spoil. Humble with children, they adored him so, "Chacha Ji," they'd call him, their faces aglow. He darted through the woods, a frantic race. Bushes, bees, and birds were in his chase. Beauty's goddess, Shelly, he aimed to please. With words that flow like whispers in the breeze. Shelly, caring for horses with gentle hand, In meadows of gold, on pastures so grand. Through battles and hardships, Jockey stood tall, His spirit unbroken, he conquered them all. In times of darkness, Shelly brought light, A beacon for their home, shining so bright. Giving rides to children, her joy and his pride, With Shelly by his side, life was a sweet ride.
