You're the Rose

Image
tu eres la rosa            Pink rose, your perfume is made for others’ joy; While beauty’s mantle does your form enfold, Each passing soul treats you as but a toy, Steals your precious scent, worth more than gold. For whom, sweet Rose, do you such tides release Of rich perfume, to fill the ambient air? When misery’s shroud consumes your peace, And beauty’s bustle soon withers in despair. Your fairest cheeks their fragrant charm forego, And you are left to fade in murkey’s woe; No worth is discovered when loveliness is low; As long as you are fair, you are the Rose. So is my status held: while rich and fair, I am the gem that others seek to wear. ____Affaq N.Affaq  #Soonets #FoteverSonnets  #SonnetPoem #Poemhunter

Song Within the Shafe

Image
I beheld rapture among the summer leaves, As smiling flowers upheld the morning dew; And bowered havens: under the woven eaves Held speckled younglings bathed in tender blue. They leapt like pulsing petals in the ether  So newly born, so innocent and so fair, Their seraphic plumes made glad me as a believer, And filled with mellifluous strain the noonday air. When, after many months, I sought my shade, Aha, my little hermitage lay wild and green; The lawn, untouched by shears my hand had made, Had grown a peaceful world unheard, unseen. Then learned I this: what man would prune away May be the very life for which birds stay. ____Poet Affaq  #ForeverSonnets #PoetAffaq

Dust & Towers

Image
You weep because no carriage bears your name, While others starve beneath the raging rain. You seek fine shoes to walk the road of fame; Another crawls, forsaken, maimed with pain. You fear the burden of your household care; Another never knew a mother’s breast. You heap up gold with grasping hand and stare, While he fears God, and gives the weary rest. You build with lawful masks and hidden guile, To raise your towers high against the sky; He shares his bread with hungry men the while, And asks to please the Lord who dwells on high. O dearest, riches fade like passing breath— And mercy walks beyond the gates of death. ----Affaq  #Sonnets #ForeverSonnets #PoetAffaq #AffaqPoemHunter #MysticPoetry #PoetryCommunity #PearlyDewsOfMorning

Time's Exile

Image
Time’s Exile  He walked as one whom weary Time denied, And held long converse with the breeze alone; Along a barren road in the hinterland at eventide, His shade seemed more faithful than his own. He planted fruit farms and arbors for a later age, But ruthless talons uprooted what he gave; He lit dim paths for many a wandering sage, Who passed him by, nor knew the life he saved. His visions broke open like tempestuous skies, Then vanished mute, leaving no mark behind; Southward moved he with his wearied thighs, As a ruined pilgrim, out of step with his mind. And often he mourned in the lowering air: “I spent my years, and oh met no harbor there.” ----Affaq N Affaq  #TimesExile #Sonnets #ForeverSonnets #PoetAffaq  #MysticPoetry #PoemHuhterAffaq

From Dust We Rise

Image
From dust we rise, to dust our footsteps bend; At length we cut the cord and turn away. The soil remains our first and final end, From fields of truth to worlds of glaring gray. Feel me—freedom lives within the open field; And until we, like cold machine tools, grind and spin. The state may promise peace it cannot yield, And let the numbness of the screen creep in. Until the seat of soul is dead to pain, The glowing screen becomes a mere glass tool, And shadows on its surface seem like the rain, A passing cloud that slowly drifts from rule. The healing earth, the mountain, and the shade: Will man return to claim the peace He made? ----Affaq  #ForeverSonnets #PoetAffaq  #PoemHunterDotComAffaq  #MysticalPoeyry #SonnetByAffaq

O, Heart Take l

Image
O Heart, take care where do you choose to roam; These iron towers rise up in haughty pride. For this strange land is not your native home, Here wine and jeer swell the devil's tide. The gambler here has thrown his wits away; The thief assumes the merchant’s futile name. He calls deepest darkness the “holiday,” And wraps his lust within a lawful frame. While wolves in velvet rule with false pride, The weeping babe is mercilessly cast aside; One single sin assumes a thousand hues, And fraud is preached as daily gospel news. O Heart, preserve your small and inward spark; The world is false, but you remain an ark. #ForeverSonnts #PoetAffaq  #MysticPoetry #PoemHunter

O, Mossy Fane

Image
O, Mossy Fane              O, Mossy Fane Beside the brook that sang by Eden’s glade, Stood my small bower of meek and mossy wood; There first mine eyes, like weeping rose, displayed Their dawn in Savior’s smile, so purely good. The splendid sun on fair Varendra shone, While April’s birds in emerald branches played; And Mother’s voice, with sweet old visions drawn, Made holy even-song within the shade. The shallow winds came dancing through my room, Then fled, then came, like angels crowned with spring; And green-tressed flowers upon the river's bloom Did bend and hearken while the panes did sing O mossy fane, you are a lost Paradise to me, My bosom still weeps beside your sacred tree. ---Affaq N Affaq  #ForeverSonnets  #PoetAffaq  #AffaqPoemHunterDotCom

The Vesper Veil

Summoning

Image
Memory! did you not command my heart to pursue The hour youth was crowned with jocund cheer? When on my brow there bloomed a passion new And vows' bright torch illumed the budding year. I chased the kites upon the windswept plain, Their flashy wings did mock the vault on high; While piping reeds gave forth a pastoral strain, And time stood still beneath the summer sky. Lo! on the hills the sighing tempests spoke, I heard the lore of shepherds, they told of old; And when the viol through the silence broke, Its trembling voice was richer than pure gold. Though feasts have fled, and rustic songs decay, Their echoes live and haunt my soul today. ---Affaq  #ArtistAffaqNaibe #AuthorAffaqNaibe #PoetryByAffaqNaibe #AffaqNaibePoetry #AffaqNaibePoemHunter #ForeverSonnets

A day to Remember

Image
While glorious sun the foggy mists exiled, And brooks' soft plaint in liquid notes did flow, Small winged choirs their melodies beguiled Beneath Phoebus' gaze; I sang my sorrow's woe. Upon the flint, the lucent currents played; Herons and regrets in flashing dances leapt; Zephyr’s soft breath in melodic music strayed, And holy clouds to starry towers were swept. Ah, all the world in vernal ecstasy was dressed, And Phoebus then the earth's fair tresses kissed; Still in this show, my being lay distressed, Since your dear face my lonely soul missed. Oh, had your eyes upon these glories gazed, A concord in your heart had then been raised. -#ArtistAffaqOnYouTube -#ArtistAffaqOnInstagram -#PoetAffaqOnFacebook -#PoetAffaqOnPinterest -#ArtistAffaqOnLinkedIn -#PoetAffaqPoemHunter #ForeverSonnets #LyricalSonnets #DewsOfMorning #PoetryLovers  #PoetryCommunity #ArtLover  #CreativeArt  #ArtCommunity #BlogLife  #BloggerAffaq  #ContentWriterAffaq #GoogleBlogAffaq #...

A truth we can't Bury

Image
A Truth we can't Bury   And this flaming life, tenderly now inclined, Moan with me; this is my heart's muse, a new lay, An ardent ode, with nascent years entwined, To wake old efflorescence, once in sway. Perchance, my form shall yet adorn your sight, Your face, a rose, within my palms shall rest; Though distant, restless moans fill the long night, Where I, in solemn hours, found no true zest. In ghastly ride, the solemn Sun descends In purple seas, where Moon in stillness lies; Through heaven's vast, its lonely journey wends, A sheer truth we cannot bury, nor deny. So share this ode, and let the air impart A shift within the climate of my heart. ---Affaq  __________________________ -#ArtistAffaqOnYouTube -#ArtistAffaqOnInstagram -#PoetAffaqOnFacebook -#PoetAffaqOnPinterest -#ArtistAffaqOnLinkedIn -#PoetAffaqPoemHunter #ForeverSonnets #LyricalSonnets #DewsOfMorning #PoetryLovers  #PoetryCommunity #ArtLover  #CreativeArt  #Art...

Pilgrim of the Silent Shade

Image
Alone I tread this merry, unrelenting land; If friend I profess, it’s but mine own dark shade. No fluttering wing nor love does take my hand, Nor heart reveal repose in bonds that joy has made. Through tranquil ways I walk with folded arms, Ah, a pilgrim sworn to no appointed end; My bosom bears a grief unknown to charms, A heart-led soul whom fate will never bend. Beside the lake I stand, the breezes sigh, As trembling murmurs through the waters move; Behind me quietude, before me vapors lie, With no ear to hear the tale I long to prove. Thus in life’s crowded fairs I still remain, Alone with self, this silence, my domain ---Affaq  -#ArtistAffaqOnYouTube -#ArtistAffaqOnInstagram -#PoetAffaqOnFacebook -#PoetAffaqOnPinterest -#ArtistAffaqOnLinkedIn -#PoetAffaqPoemHunter #ForeverSonnets #LyricalSonnets #DewsOfMorning #PoetryLovers  #PoetryCommunity #ArtLover  #CreativeArt  #ArtCommunity #BlogLife  #BloggerAffaq  #ContentWriterAffaq #GoogleBlogAffa...

Neelum

Image
Neelum (beautiful sapphire, eyes always cherish  Neelum is a resting place. of this blue shimmer. Where joy lulls into eyes the joy,   and worries vanish. Like dim, dusky clouds from the crystal mirror. While the happy day sinks into sweet night,   My purple past prime comes into caring eye Like the leaves on a willow tree in twilight  O! you love!  though not yours but you yourself,  Hither live, the beauty that you bear on lease,   Notice no prejudice or apartheid,   my love;   When you bear a baby! You know: half piece, She may receive its nude beauty in heirs'y  You be mine love, she will use its sapphire treasury. ----Affaq -#ArtistAffaqOnYouTube -#ArtistAffaqOnInstagram -#PoetAffaqOnFacebook -#PoetAffaqOnPinterest -#ArtistAffaqOnLinkedIn -#PoetAffaqPoemHunter #ForeverSonnets #LyricalSonnets #DewsOfMorning #PoetryLovers  #PoetryCommunity #ArtLover  #CreativeArt  #ArtCommunity #Blog...

Musings

Image
Enchanting soul, your visage unveils so slow, Like timid luna that falters from veiling cloud; As youth in me awakes, you now bestow A modest mercy, half-hidden, not too proud. I wake at midnight—O angel dear, let me rest; Through hasty hours I scan my drained day. What heavy horror upon your mind is pressed, To seal your lips and whisk your words away? I stand ensnared by musings the world has sown, While you speak sweet of spring’s arriving roam; Your heart lives light, on trembling dewlight grown, Still rain brings no such fullness to my home. You chide love’s name, and fright its rising flame, But from that fright, I craft love’s hallowed name. -----Affaq #PoetryOfAffaq #AffaqThePoet #SonnetsOfAffaq #PoeticVibesAffaq #AffaqPoeticJourney #LovePoemsAffaq #PoetryCommunity  #ForeverSonnets

The Waves (Lyrical Video)

Image
And you ask me when I shall return to you!  How can the wave decide the sea’s own hour? My inner self leans toward heaven’s hue, A reed bent singing in His lurking power. I’ll come when rain remembers how to fall, When ponds bloom with moving breaths of gold, And shore-birds praise the zephyr till fear turns small, When storms forget the sidewalks they controlled. Be patient, Pumpkin; waiting is a better prayer; The seed knows sullen before it learns the sun. I do walk where the rapture holds me unaware— And a moth still circling till the glow is won. When Love permits, we’ll draw life’s boat as one, And dearest find we met before the world begun. A Waiting Rapture

And you ask me when I shall return to you!  How can the wave decide the sea’s own hour? My inner is not my own; it leans toward God, A reed bent singing in His lurking power. I’ll come when rain remembers how to fall, When ponds bloom with moving breaths of gold, And shore-birds praise the zephyr till fear turns small, When storms forget the sidewalks they controlled. Be patient, sweet; waiting is a better prayer; The seed knows sullen before it learns the sun. I do walk where the rapture holds me unaware— And a moth still circling till the glow is won. When Love permits, we’ll draw life’s boat as one, And dearest find we met before the world begun. ---Affaq  #Sonnets #ForeverSonnets #PoetAffaq #SonnetsOfAffaq #MysticPoetry #Rapture

A Musician & Goatherd

Image
And a musician sang aloud in a narrow vale, His drum’s wild voice exceeded earth’s consent. A goatherd passed and said, with tempered tale: “Lower your tune; the sky is noise-bent, spent.” The musician arched his brow in proud disdain: “Go tend your goats, rough man, disturb me not.” The words struck fire within the shepherd’s vein; His calm turned flame, his silence turned to thought. “Know this,” he said, “two prophets herded sheep, And loved their lambs in a pasture steep and wide. Why did God choose a shepherd’s path to keep, Not bookish tongues nor songs with swelling pride? God sees beyond the world the senses scan.” The drum fell mute; the singer bowed to Man, No, bowed to God, beyond the mortal plan. -----Affaq N Affaq  #Sonnets #ForeverSonnets

A Cradle

Image
Sleep, little heart; the night seals every door And cups the world within its velvet hush; The Luna forgets her age, leans low once more, To hear your breath undo the stars’ old rush. I gather dreams where olive shadows kneel, Where seas rehearse their youth in whispered blue; Your pulse becomes the law the heavens feel, Your eyes, two lamps the dark is passing through. All wandering things grow still around your rest, Even time unbinds his sandals, slow and kind; Love folds the world like bread against my chest, And feeds my fear into your sleeping mind. Sleep, gold and ruby crown your kind head; My kiss shall guard you till the dawn is wed. ------Poet Affaq  #Sonnet #ForeverSonnets #SonnetPoetry #PoetAffaq Enjoy this sweet lyric below  Spring of Beauty
