God thou art the Great---

  ------God thou art the Great------

God is supreme; it's He who descends grief

In the form of red-plague, or lashing rain,

Or the tempest in the seas, and extends

It, or the tremor, that alters the domain

Of our earth, or a dire and horrific drought

When He beholds that injustice is at its prime,

Bribery is the order of the day throughout,

And nepotism is deep in its roots, the crime.

And favoritism is their faith, when dullards

Are affiliated with the treasury's sublime

Or command; on the other end, people of words,

Of wisdom, are harassed often in time.

Lord, thou art the Great, and none is above Thee.

You restricted elysian fields for those who shove Thee.
