Pleasent things
Every beast or bird that the Lord brings has a reason.
like a calm, pretty deer with groomed bones.
is always known for its great sense of smell.
or cuckoo, who lives in the backyard of Ruth Jones.
sings quite early and then leaves with a tremendous yell.
A flower bee that fills comb after comb just for you
or the green lacewing, which flies in the calm night.
A glow worm that holds yellow-green lamps under its tail
Harm not the bush quail; she lays the painted eggs.
and looks back at them with the painful tears, or the
Beetle with its shuttered wings
praise to lord
Who teaches us all these pleasant things?
Alongside his free grace is a pensive smile.
