Give my spirit a glow of spring Breeze

Image
Confer my spirit the glow of the spring breeze, My corpse is on earth and eyes over the stars. This tender heart hang's in your loving arms. And, the mind engages in other puzzles; Seldom it returns valiantly from life's arenas, I’m a pilgrim and live for a certain purpose. What's the motive of my light existence? I aim to discover the veiled answers. My lord, extend your holy hand to succor me. Confer my spirit the glow of the spring breeze, So I can toil through the day for our well-being. I do follow the order of the rising heavens, And to withdraw is likewise a hebetude,  If so, it may not correspond my poetic mood. ©Affaq

A handshake

Image
In yester-week, a former friend I chanced to see, After decades gone by, perhaps twenty or three. His once-twisted locks now a snowy white hue, But dyed red, a hint of envy mounts in his view. Not I, but my old lady, remarked with a sigh, Recalling days, youth made me rose-red and spry. I recalled, when he jested at my imperial beard, As we met in the sunset bay, memories revered. Some habits cling tight, defying time's wave, After a concise handshake, he set forth on his stave. Likewise, we sailed toward the lake Victoria, Pardone, the impurity and sullage on its urban area  Made our mood off, save God we dwell in roughage,  This moon is in shock, for the sky is in landing stage. ©Poet Affaq 🌹

Tides of stream

TIDES OF STREAM  Ah, singing stream of our meadows green, Floating with sweet liberty every day and night, Your music is solemn, and dews newly made clean:  Flowing feely from the steep rocks at the first light. O traveller, go slow over by the oily shales, Through the dipping trees, and then explore  New ways of such plains and the dales Always green, as their eternal Saviour. Whose Immutability is worth of praise  Go further slowly toward the  purple layer,  And sing praise of the Creator, of flint maize, Of rain, of sun rays, a Cosmocrator of supreme nature. Jogging stream of clean caste, sometimes You give deep cracks to our glittering scenes, And to hustling streets, indeed, with your surprises, And smiles, we have on earth some peaceful pacts. And drink your refreshing wine, rich in its energies, Verily, you do empower the farmers and decrease Their stresses; it's true, then making things Of life entirely new, with bird songs and your hue. Through you...
