Near Temptation's fire

Image
In life's fierce fray, I quest for truth's lead,  Devoid this frame, world’s like a lifeless moor. Within your moonglow, my visions might spread; If you be not beside me, all seems obscure. O, jealousy’s domain, the mercy's call ignored, Amidst chains of woe, freedom's song wane. No eden found where once with fate I'd prance, Near temptation's fire we lost in disdain. Humanity’s ashamed below greed's weight. “Progress” they tout, yet greed’s their compass. Truth is trampled down by envy and hate; Oh, hope is less; the rest is mere harass. Those who dare resistance face the crown— Suffer ramifications or be overthrown. © Affaq

Whistle me not to prove my grievous wrong,

Image
Whistle me not to prove my grievous wrong, Your cruelty did pierce my tender pulsing heart. With but a glance, your silent sighs prolong, And my inner torn wide, your legend to impart. Speak with tongue, let wit and essence abide, For false hypocrisy often wounds us intense. Reveal to me now, whom do you hide inside? Cherished within your heart, I’m in suspense.   Listen, your coquetry is my leading foe, And If love within your bosom sweetly beats, Your looks alone have wrought this pain and woe, Why do you not confess, pretty princess, your feats? Am nearer to God, your beauty slays me, thus Whisper, assuage the heartache, that twixt us. ©Poet Affaq

April's Wind

Image
April's wind ... listen the music When April’s wind does quietly kiss the rose  My forgotten days stir my thought’s hue  Awhile making them shine like sapphire in shows All obscure knots unravel and break through. In your sweetest shadow, I meet a new glare, You inherit all of that crescent's fair traits, And for me, you are temperate sweet and fair; This orbit of my weary brain, always feels   My goodness, witty fairy of the merry lane You are dancing without a care or stain  Forgive me, it's vain if you can't feel one's pain  All mists and smog got gathered to invade My pondside where my skylark is dismayed When April’s wind does quietly kiss the rose My bosom turns to you and sweet repose  ©poet Affaq

in A Yonder Village

Image
Let us go far, where dreamed village hoard. Where none knows us, nor has ever seen, You’ll raise your tale in song of deep ardor, And I shall sing, though young, my heart be lean. Ha!, in a yonder village by the vernal shore, Let hearts break free, in soft murmurs, we stray, Amidst clouds, where none shall know our lore, Our secrets like the mists shall drift away. Flee from the customs of this weary earth, Which bind us close to drink of mortal wine, And make us shun the place of heavenly worth, Even though we’re pressed our spirits would repine. Come, let us flee to yonder dreamed abode, To purge our hearts, and share our love's loyal bond. © Poet Affaq

A Rapture's Call

Image
While you are away, a gloom does descend, Or all the world's shimmer does lose its shine. My morn makes a plea to you: thus befriend My nights, once idyllic, now annoying mine. Your breath, like an aura that gives me cheer, Your nearness, a sunshine that lights my way. Your love, a backbeat that takes away my fear, In you, fellow, I do foresee my tranquil day. For in this indefinite life, I am like a brief guest, Why ought we not entwine our amour in action? I may cherish every moment we share and quest,  In your attraction, my dearie, I regain my passion. So turn up loveliness and let us close the gap, For without you, all rapture shrinks and sap. © Poet Affaq

A happy breeze that brings me cheer

Image
When you’re absent, darkness does descend, And all the world's delight does lose its shine. My days, make a plea to you so befriend My nights, once peaceful, now are troubled mine. Your breath, a happy breeze that brings me cheer, Your presence, sunshine that lights up my way. Your love, a rhythm that takes away my fear In you, my dear, I do find my peaceful day. For in this fleeting life, I am a brief guest, Why should we not entwine our hearts in love? I'll cherish every moment we share and rest, In your embrace, my sweet, I find my dove. So come, dear love, and let us close the gap, For without you, all joys do shrink and sap. © Poet Affaq  2024/ All rights reserved

The Ashes Of Affection

Image
All that mine held is now yours in every way, At times by kisses, by closeness, fleeting touch, At times by distance, heartless as winter's day, Or through displeases, pain that clings so much. Your memories penned on pages white and still, Morn's yawning light, or vesper’s solemn shade, Within heart your uniqueness lingers still, No distrust, nor bitter musings from us displayed. Ah! return and see what yet remains in me, Reckon these graves of lovers lost to silent seas, Whose vows and promises now dust shall be, As the fleeting lies upon the fickle breeze. When love, like wizardry, fades, slips from sight, Its grip is gone, and we yield to endless night. © Poet Affaq   2024 all rights reserved
