in A Yonder Village

Let us go far, where dreamed village hoard.
Where none knows us, nor has ever seen,
You’ll raise your tale in song of deep ardor,
And I shall sing, though young, my heart be lean.

Ha!, in a yonder village by the vernal shore,
Let hearts break free, in soft murmurs, we stray,
Amidst clouds, where none shall know our lore,
Our secrets like the mists shall drift away.

Flee from the customs of this weary earth,
Which bind us close to drink of mortal wine,
And make us shun the place of heavenly worth,
Even though we’re pressed our spirits would repine.

Come, let us flee to yonder dreamed abode,
To purge our hearts, and share our love's loyal bond.
