Closed Door Metamorphosis

Image
Closed Door Metamorphosis This day ripens in persimmon shadow apple of maturity traps coat and tie defying warnings of prude stilettos         In the middle of confession room,         crash my towering fear         let me float in flowing rhythm         of your heartbeat, my sanctuary Grey office lit tangerine embers eyeglasses shelter in mahogany closet auburn hair cascades tracing shoulders         In the mysticism of wine dusk         cradle my cocoon in gentle rhyme         recite mantra for poetic dance         in the aroma of cinammon delight The table watches swaying swivel chair hugs shedded garments of braided boughs tossed in storms of butterfly awakening           Open dark portal to magical maze           find me in glowing pivotal sphere     ...

I hail from Africa

Image
I hail thee Africa 🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸 I hail thee Africa For standing tall  When they thought You will be bedridden I hail thee Africa For being ever green And not falling down Withered leaves Even when it looks like You were almost finished I hail thee Africa For gritty gathering Every piece of you That have been sliced in pieces I hail thee Africa For raising more Prominent kids Out of what is referred to as the the valley of corruption I hail thee Africa!  For teaching us The cultural songs of love and dignity That's our weapons Against all odds.  All hail Africa!  For she refuses to lose hold  Even when she's  been brain washed That they can never be a better tomorrow I hail thee Africa! I hail thee again! I hail thee!!!!!!!!!!!!!            @Justina              2/12/2021

My Roses By Kelly Owen

Image
My Roses Some roses are red  Once mine were black Believing I’m not built for love As I turned my back Rose are meant to be Red, yellow, pink or white My roses were black Until you showed them some light  You slowly poured back colour  Even sky blue You brightened my world By just being you My roses still hold colour Some petals hit the floor  You chose only friendship Leaving me craving more My now beautiful roses Red, white and sky blue Developed those colours Purely for you  ©️All rights reserved 26/11/2021. Fortune oh fortune

Image
Future oh Future  Earlier, I twittered into my prospect, as far as the human eye could see,     And I brawled with the truth.              For nothing seems apparent. The opacity of my destiny got me jerking,  Who knows what lies ahead? How do I fight my adversity with no clue? I have got my eyes fix on the sky. I watch as the clouds precipitate, No Bird must escape my sight. Still, I can't cast my lots. I surely have no courage left But I do hope for victory. As you withheld all the hints, That bares the sacred text of my fate. ©Halimat Abdulazeez  ðŸ‡³ðŸ‡¬ © (the sonnets of nightingale is owned by AFFAQ NAIBE  ©the poems posted here re owned by different writers, some of them might have copy rights)  🌹💖🌹💖🌹💖🌹💖🌹♥️

Nightingale

Image
Thank You for this Beautiful Note Dear Affaq <3 Since I am not supposed to be using My hand I will send You one of My Small Poems.  Many of My Poems are Narrative Metaphorical Lyrical Poems which some are a full 2 pages.  So a little Gift for You <3   Nightingale I cannot tell you of what a Nightingale must surely sing about It’s Musings Mystical and full of Dim Magical Flight But it must be a feathery soft tune, one that reaches from it’s Beautiful Soft Breast and takes the hand from Heaven, and makes this earnestly searching One, feel Blessed For She is like no other, sings such a Glorious Nocturnal Lyric I imagine fragrant Jasmine and Sparkling Stars, and the night soft onyx canvas shimmering with Eloquent Waltzing and Lullaby Sighs Oh that I could meld with Her just once! With this Elegant Majestic Winged One The Ancients and Wise Serenading the World, aloft in Ancestral Song every Night! Author: Carmen Wright Poet Laureate  Copyright@December 23, 2003...

AUTUMNAL WINGSDry

Image
AUTUMNAL WINGS Dry vintage red pressed to her lips, as another ephemeral summer night dissipates  over a horizon.  Autumnal dusk spreads her wings across an auburn meadow..  A sapphire moon floats up over cranberry fields inside a sky, emblazoned by twinkling lanterns. Tepid breeze plays with tiny goosebumps on slender arms & she shivers; tightens her  wool scarf. Crinkle of dead leaves underfoot, wilting as  fleeting summer dreams..  Wind gusts through chapters in an ancient novel; sepia pages, slightly worn from impatient fingers. The pungent smell of pine & cinnamon lingers in the blustery evening air. Drifting snapshots of an antique rocking chair, melodious creaking..  butterscotch kisses,  scent of cedar-wood & sweet rain.. holding a calloused warm hand, placing it on a cool cheek, smiling eyes. Floating backwards, gazing through a frosty window-pane.. A timid young girl playing with buttons, unlaced boots with mud on the soles.....
