May your caring hand oblige my outstretched own, Not for mere days or months, but life's long span. How discordant, to live in solitude, alone, And mend life's fractured hopes, and the false plan. I stood then, solitary in youth's pretty prime, Those innocent years backed by liberty. Now let your tender hand merge into mine, May this harmony be like passion and fire I see. Believe me, from my villa in the Eastern hills I ponder this verse with deepest, careful thought; Ah, by love's beam, dear breeze of rills, Indeed, for some high purpose we are brought. Before your rosy, purple youth does fade, Pledge that this holy verse our future made. ---- Affaq

From city's din, a weary soul now yearns, My soul fades beneath the urban strain. In these maple whispers, quiet solace burns, And tranquil visions rise to soothe my pain. Oh, lovely rustic life, beneath your sunlit sky, Your nightly breezes gently wrap me round. With Gallah's haunting, peaceful, distant cry, And in dew-kissed leaves, deep content is found. Sweet Eastern air, your mystic music sings, A constant presence, be always by my side. While moonbeams dance, a silver vigil brings, And inner peace reveals all hidden things. Ah, feathered choir, let joyful song now stream, And in this peace, fulfill my waking dream. ---Affaq

Though feared, your passing is not yours to claim; You wield no free and sovereign power's might. When your near presence sighs out your name, Each living being trembles with affright. A servant you remain, to Him enthroned, Whose endless might governs every hour; The heavens, waters, storms, all stand alone, Until His great consent unlocks their power. You, like myself, are held by mortal fate; No life you snatch until its fixed decree, When that precise appointed time awaits, You do not linger, but the souls you free. So swift your task, assigned with certain hand, O Angel, reaping souls across the land. -----Affaq

A bond of faith

Image
How briskly did the briefest time escape,  No bitter thought, no tearful regret stains.  Youth's golden thread unwinds in tender shape,  And leaves us with but whispers of its gains. Our lives, a rare necklace by heaven sent,  Mislaid in haste, still mourned not by our gaze.  Manhood's firm years with weight of duty bent,  Their hours consumed by work and cloudy days. Ah, still, we seek to sail life's warmer seas,  And pray for time to mercy us verdant plains.  Heart's trials, through sorrow's harsh decrees, Faith binds our hearts; no faltering remains. Thus duty's call we bear with vigor strong,  For faith endures, enduring all along. ----Affaq

Mother Nature / Baby Tears

Image
Mother Nature / Baby Tears  A tender flower, chilled by the winter's bite, Whose mother, heaven claimed, in tender years. Lost warm care, a childhood dimmed by night, Mother nature responded to baby's tears. A shepherdess, far from the learning's light, The breezes of Dawn, her silent tutor, proved. The rustling leaves sang with the melody of night, A language felt, a knowledge deeply loved. Her young heart grew in Nature's love and dew.  An angel, unloved, in tranquil love hummed. Her art attuned to bird, breeze, and their hue Nature took its course, and she was stunned. And then alienated waif, thanked His majesty,  For serving an ill-fated thrown out by her family. -----Poet Affaq  #ForeverSonnets

Beneath the great Morus, slow steps take, Where Robin sings from lavender his soulful song. You too move towards those springs, shake  Your wings and with dear Robin go along. The pinkish buds may delight your longing eyes, So slowly walk, the heavenward appears bright, And robin's song fills the void in clear skies; His beloved too listens from the pine tonight. Pause, pen your thoughts on cherished scenes,  Some are lingering and some gently dance; Between robin and morus, create new dreams  In slow steps, for you and Florence. So walk, let nature's charms your soul enclose, And in every step, may a world of calm repose. ----Affaq

Cupidity, a raging fire's wild shocks, Spreads its blaze, blinding and fiercely bold. Each hour it expands, gaining the rocks, And nightly meals for gold are hastily sold. The champions of toil now must see, This plague of Cupidity devours our stores, In senate halls, markets, and academy. May justice's angels bring their saving power, Ay, sin did drag man from his blissful place, From Eden's grace to hell's infernal chain. Through veins it flows, a horror, crude and base, Mocking our peace with restless, bitter pain. O Lord of time, these deeds are dark and grim, Thus deliver us from Cupidity's cruel whim. ----Affaq
