An unsent Letter

Image
Yesterday, in the purple evening's lucent light, I sat upon my veranda, a highly pleasant sight. To write you a brief letter, melodic and sweet, But feelings rushed in, disrupting my seat. A caravan of emotions, deceptive and wild, Then my soul adrift, as like a restless child. Every thought obedient, in your amore glow, A starry night passed inside your passion’s flow. As morning's light broke, with its insistent call, The dawn chorus sang, bidding me to recall, "It's time to awaken, day's burdens to bear, No longer you are a child, with worries to spare. Beset by concerns, life's weight on your head, Golden days gone, their memories fled. Still their shadows linger, inside your pensive gaze, A reminder of the past, within morning's haze." ©Poet Affaq  #poetry #sonnets #letters #mysticpoetry

Beauty lingers in its brief bloom

Image
The glaze descends to coat the Terra in white, Each bough adorned with icy, brittle lace. Pretty luna did cast her faint and silver light, While winter's breath does time itself efface. Skyward brook, once rich, sighs not its tune, Encased in crystal bonds, it sleeps in peace. Old stars arrived close to the mindful moon Remind the heart that gelid, too, shall decease. But spring shall rise from death's adamant snare, And fresh rains shall comfort the dead ground. Awakening blooms shall scent the temperate air, A new beginning in every gorge be found. That Icy grip wanes; nay season stays the same, Till now the beauty lingers in its brief claim. ©Poet Affaq  #Beauty #sonnet #newbeginning

And silence rulled the ruins of our heart

Image
Beloved, your amore have caused such tart pains, Still silent we suffered, sorrows ruthless strife. Our bosom was sacked, broken by the chains, But the tears unshed betrayed our muffled life. Your love’s souvenir, a fiction thou didn't weave, Was treasured still, though sorrow claimed our lot. The world’s merciless woes we silently receive, And in our breasts a fire that smoked not. Our burning bosom consumed by yearning’s flame, No vestige of what they were didn't now remain. Tears swallowed whole, we bore our barren shame, While long lay closed, its petals bound in pain. Two bosom’s, though met, were destined yet to part, And the silence ruled the ruins  of our heart  Poet Affaq  #poetry #mystical #sonnet #fireversonnets

peace under the maple tree

From the din and disdain of my own city, Methinks I have become so dull and silly; Ah, in shades of this marvelous maple tree May there be my small and sweet home. Where the day is thankful for the sunshine, And the night brings peace, love, and tranquility. Where Galah is singing with flora in shades of pine, And dew is shining on the leaves of the grass. Where the Oriental air is playing music fine, And the gentle Moon is upon her emas throne. Where the champak buds are yielding a sweet Wine through with the sun's attractions. Oh, coquetry sparrows be your songs a peace To my soul, O, handsome birds on the golden Shores of the live stream, give me a living dream; And hold a course on this thanksgiving Eve. My yearning come live with me, O, dear stars Above governing our conditions, fill well my angelic Dream, be your smile a shining light in my eyes Over and above that, be my days, the song style. ©Poet Affaq  #Mysticpoetry #Naturepoetry #lyrucalpoetry
