A Dairy's Glamour

In the happy dawn her sweet face I spied

A fairy's glamour, in golden dew enshrined.

In youthful days such visions briefly bid,

Aah, still her lovely smile lingers in my mind.

Her tender hand in mine splendidly rest,

Its warmth echoed Newburg's  gracious fire.

Love, a changing moon, cannot be pressed,

Its mood does wane with time and heart's desire.

O Fortune, spin your wheel and bind our youth,

To pearl-lit paths where dreams and fate align.

If heaven grants, we shall meet with fervent truth,

And hearts will gain what stars in us design.

O welkin’s grace grant endless ardour’s  flight

To meet her face again in the morning light.
