New morning from the sea- holm

Image
New morning from the sea-holm grants Golden dews and wine to olive plants. A teardrop hangs on the leaf of the olive, Soon may fall down and lose all its love. Shore birds, frightened by the ocean storms, Stay here with me, but follow local norms. Sweet zephyr, just shake those rainy clouds For the sake of rustic school girls in gowns. And for the plowman, toiling all day long, Caught under the hailing, singing his song. O my sweet Aura, linger in the windy tree, And behold, there is none in between. O my green-love, fan my cheek to cheek, It's my inner urge, but let it not be leaked. People may accuse me, that with the breezes, He was making moans in the windy trees. By Poet Affaq

O, restless heart, stir gently, but slow

Image
O, restless heart, stir gently, but slow, Clarinets play for one who draws near. In cast shadows, their presence glows, In dream's backyard, love sings ah, clear. Kisses form when the dreams appear In gardens of sleep, where the love sings. A melody of solemn promise reappear For whom the heart awoke, the dawn brings Her visage with hues of vernal grace O restless heart, stir gently, but slow— Someone comes to fill your empty space, And for years long, you dwelt apart O restless heart, stir gently, but slow, Clarinets play for one who draws so close. Hearts Voice

Image
Methinks this heart should some rest find, Amidst these sweet blossoms freshly born, They’re proud of the essence they leave behind Until my wound is healed by these flowers with thorns. I sat with a cherubic longing all the day  Gazing upon these blooms from early hours, Longed may display a leniency for my long stay, Blessed, they are by the unseen powers. I sat listening to the music of clear streams, They float with forbearance to their mother sea, Without  hurry or delay in moony beams, Obeying their oath for those who are thirsty. Before the summer, they must reach In their way, whoever comes, they kiss each. -----Poet Affaq

Zojila Pass

Image
On the Zojila Pass, the snow falls after hail, If ever fortune takes you there, stay warm, In the midsummer, a scene as dinsdale  But snow’s Lucifer may bring you harm. Soul longs to stay on the snowy peaks, You may hear the howls of bears at night, Where the little hills their king bespeak And In loneliness, they stir your fright. As the darkness fades, a rainbow's glow, Woods around with the emeralds gleam, Colors bright, and the morning shows. Treasures for those who dare to dream. I saw in nature, what the fiction foretells, From books where rosy charm dwells. -----Poet Affaq

Women

WOMEN I hold.. The history of us In the shadows of all.. We are one In the years of struggle No one knows our depth But us We multi task We cry unseen tears We laugh at ourselves We love beyond reason As our byways become A challenge We gather strengths In the gentle sea breeze We are Mothers Regardless of what we choose.. Be it a child, pet, garden.. We carry a gene.. Caregivers But unseen is the strengths That grow from our falls of Learning We are warriors and just beginning To show the world The depth of our capabilities So treasure us As buds Now in bloom Flowing seeds of Equality (c) Janice Fisher 05-11-2024 Photo Credit to original owner SONNETS  Administered by  Poet Affaq
