The Putunua Paradox

In public, you profess your faith with ease,
But privately, your scornful words reveal,
It's your duplicity, or a mask to please,
Your heart, distant from the truth, it conceals.
Would you prefer to be a wilted bloom
Or a petunias that attracts the papillons?
Obscure feelings may injure you; set a plan
To reshape your passion and visions.
The beauty that you wear is of no worth
To me; review your inner ambitions.
Mere beauty is not; your attributes will go forth
To plead your lawsuit, and take this huge leap
That which you gaze at day to day is an illusion,
And too deep; amazing, you are an alien.
